What is a RESCO?

RESCO – Renewable Energy Supply/Services Company

Under this model the end customer signs an agreement to purchase energy from Arka Grids for a specified duration at a negotiated cost like any ESCOM.
Arka Grids executes the project and manages operational expenses for maintaining the plant at peak performance. The asset is owned by Arka Grids.
The customer is only liable to pay for the lower of the two a. energy units consumed b. Minimum Committed units.

Fixed energy costs

The service provider is responsible for maintaining and operating the project, reducing the operational risks for the customer.

Green energy credentials

The customer can use the renewable energy generated by the project to meet their sustainability goals and improve their environmental credentials.

How does the Solar RESCO works?

In order to meet its goal of 40GW of rooftop solar by 2022, both the Central and State Government agencies offer generous and favourable regulations for RESCO solar developers.
In a few special categories in some states, RESCO model developers enjoy up to 70% subsidy for RESCO projects on government building.
Not only this, but in some states, the government is also offering its premises for the development of plants.
